About us
It's our job at NATS to ensure the safe, efficient and orderly passage of all aircraft through UK controlled airspace - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our controllers are world-renowned for their professionalism and, as an organisation, we lead the world, both in terms of our expertise and technology.
We pride ourselves on creating an environment that both challenges and engages - one that, ultimately, lets you take control. And because we've set ourselves some pretty challenging targets for the next few years, one thing is clear: we can only achieve these by attracting the best people.
If we're successful, we'll be shaping the future of our industry by setting new standards in safety, service and value to our customers - principally, the airlines. We'll be leading the way technically, operationally, commercially and politically - all of which will continue to make NATS a very exciting place to work.
Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs)
Our controllers are at the heart of our business. They issue instructions and information to pilots by radio to keep air traffic flying safely, efficiently and on time.
Because we're a 24-hour business, our controllers, as well as some of our engineers and assistants, work in shifts. They have to deal with one of the most complex areas of airspace in the world, and work at some of the world's busiest airports. To enable this we offer first-class training, and they are rewarded with first-class terms and conditions.
Here’s where you can find out a little bit more about us and what we do. Take the time to look around and you’ll find everything from background information about who we are and where we’re located to profiles showcasing our people, what they do and how they see NATS. There’s also an opportunity to play a few games, so you can see for yourself whether you’ve got the kind of skills we’re looking for.
